Issue 2
Dear Friend,
If you are receiving this monthly newsletter you are given a ‘“GIFT” from one of our talented writers.
For those of you just joining us you can read Issue 1 on what DFLT means and why our online publication is a little different than most.
To the rest of you I want to extend a warm welcome. You made it through the first quarter of 2020, and I am beyond thrilled that you are still here enjoying life even in these uncertain times.
Our intention for this newsletter is to provide a little dose of inspiration as you go through your day busily working at your craft.
We believe the written word is one of the most powerful and intimate mediums that you can use to connect with others. Thank you for being here and enjoy the articles.
Sincerely,
Don

Logan asks us all to look to question Symphony for the bittersweet truth.
Harzl candidly credits Symphony in a profound thought experiment through personal story .
Logan’s parting thoughts:
No doubt, we are living in unprecedented times. Given the current Global Pandemic, I felt that this quote from The Fellowship of the Ring was fitting:
"I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us...”
I echo this sentiment. Several days after relocating to the Los Angeles area, the State of California and the City of LA shut down all but essential services, cancelled all public gatherings, and ordered residents to stay in their homes.
In a moment, all the plans that I had to engage with people, get to know my new city better, and build a consensus among future team members for both work and ministry evaporated. Restaurants, coffee shops, public parks, and beaches, all places that I would usually frequent, are no longer accessible; at least for the time being.
But, in spite of the current predicament we find ourselves in locally, nationally and globally, I have hope. Hope that this is a moment in time that will not last, but that the tenacity and lessons we learn will last a lifetime.
Let us decide to not just make the best out of an uncomfortable season, but to innovate, thrive and persevere in the face of uncertainty.
Now there is work that needs to be done. If you have some free time join our small community of writers focused on inspiring others. Contact us at dfltfailure@gmail.com
